Blessed & Holy

The words, Blessed and Holy are all over the scripture Readings this Sunday so let us notice them as they are announced during the Reading. The Saints with a big S are known to us because they have been canonized and have their own Feast Day which we already celebrate. This Sunday we celebrate the great crowd of unknown saints with the small s. This is their Feast Day

All those that are canonized Saints have been touched by God so deeply that their lives have been made Holy by the Holy Spirit, so when they die, they immediately enter Heaven in the presence of God because they have left this life on earth without the stains of sin. How do we know who these persons are? The Church waits and prays for a sign from heaven as she prays for two proven miracles: Once they are accepted by medical science as miraculous, the Pope canonizes them as Saints with a Big S: two examples are St. John Paul II and St. John 23rd. There are also millions of saints in Heaven and they have not been officially proclaimed because they are unknown. We celebrate their Feast today.

Christian Europe is no longer predominantly Christian. The vast of them majority no longer attend church or keep God’s Commandments. Only 50 percent go to Mass in Italy. The once packed Churches in the United States have many empty pews now on Sundays. Where have all the Christians gone especially among the younger group? Encourage them to read the 10 Commandments.

I suggest that everyone of us check out the Ten Commandments to see where we stand. Notice they are Commands not suggestions. Search online for the Words, The Ten Commandments: where do you stand? Do you keep all of them? Do you keep the Lord’s Day Holy at Holy Mass on Sunday? Only 60 percent of Catholics in the USA go to Church now. To break God’s Commandments is a mortal sin. Return to the Father and seek forgiveness if you wish to be with Him forever in Heaven. Confess your sins and feel what is like to be a saint again. It will change your life and your families also. God is waiting for you .

If you were to be called to God’s presence today are you ready to meet Him? Heaven is only open for saints who die in a state of Grace. Ask Jesus to bless the grown children in your family who are not keeping those Commandments. To be blessed is to let God touch our souls so that we can be holy and live with Him and all the saints forever in perfect joy and love. Jesus will be waiting with outstretched arms for He came to forgive us and make us all saints.

May you all be blessed on this feast All Saints.
